Wish list…

Never put your hands on me in anger or with malice, and do your best to never hurt me.

Take time for yourself, but never abandon me.

Be aware of attention on me from others, but refrain from jealousy.

Don’t expect me to give or do things for you, but when I do, appreciate them and reciprocate.

Make me your pet, but do not keep me in a cage.

Don’t complete me, make me feel as though I’ve finally met my match.

Learn from me and teach me stuff. And things.

Be proud of me, show me off, spoil me, but don’t treat me like your property.

Share with me, but also surprise me.

Relish my presence, but don’t smother or require.

Be my partner, not my child nor my master.

Support me without obligation or debt.

Be sweet and doting, but also kinky and aggressive.

Know how to be rough and dirty with me while still making me feel safe.

Make me promises and do everything in your power to fulfill them, or don’t make them at all.

Put me on a pedestal while making me feel tiny and protected.

Remind me how incredible I am while ensuring I never forget to strive to be better.

Cherish me, and yourself, equally and without contest.

Take control of the wheel, but remember to let me drive once in a while.

Be accountable for your actions while holding me in the same stead for mine.

Speak your truth; brutally, honestly, without restraint. This is the way.

Never be afraid to voice a ridiculous notion; it may already be bouncing around in my head.

Covet your strength, but trust me to hold you when you need it.

When adulting gets too heavy, enjoy being a kid with me.

See my abilities as a virtue, not a competition or threat.

Don’t be deterred if I seem like I don’t need you. Just be content that I choose you.

MUST LOVE ANIMALS! Or at least be willing to live with more than a normal abundance of them. I want a full petting zoo farm, and that’s that.

Be my loudest supporter and my harshest critic. But be true in both aspects.

Let me cry when I need to. I don’t need you to fix everything, but holding me always helps.

If you don’t trust in God’s plan… well, that’s going to be a big conversation we need to have.

I swear I’m not demanding. I just know what I require at this point in my life.

And what I absolutely will not live with ever again.
